What it is actually good for

A boat is not a meeting room. If you have an agenda with ten items, hold the meeting on land. What the boat does better than any meeting room is get people talking without it being on the programme.

So it works for client entertaining, for receiving someone who has travelled a long way, and for a team that has worked hard and deserves something other than pizza in the office.

Practical for whoever books it

We invoice the company, with payment terms an accounts department can live with. One price, agreed before the trip, covering boat, fuel and skipper. Nothing appears afterwards.

Departure in the middle of town

The boats are berthed at Stranden 32 on Aker Brygge. Guests step aboard straight from the city centre, with no coach and no half hour of transport each way. For a group coming from meetings in town, four hours is genuinely four hours.

Food

You arrange it, or we help you arrange it. There is no galley on board. Most corporate trips order catering delivered to the quay before departure, and that is a straightforward thing to set up.

If the weather turns

The skipper cancels and you pay nothing. The trip moves. Worth knowing when you are setting a date twelve weeks out with ten clients in the calendar.

Who you are dealing with

We own the three boats ourselves. There is no broker checking with an owner, and no three parties if something has to change. It is one agreement, with us.

We once had to move a party from one boat to another in the same week because a generator failed. That was possible because both boats were ours. Someone chartering out other people's boats cannot do that.
